Helmut Schmidt, former Chancellor of West GermanyPossibly the only person whose lighting up on German national TV is tolerated. I kinda like his unyielding wilful spirit despite the controversy surrounding his chain-smoking. They certainly didn't elect him as Chancellor for nothing.
